FAQs

Diamond Glow vs. HydraFacial?

  • DG deeply penetrates the skin, while Hydrafacial superficially penetrates the skin.

  • DG mechanically exfoliates and removes the excess build-up of dead skin cells with a physical diamond tip exfoliator. Hydrafacial chemically exfoliates with glycolic and salicylic acid and is less customisable based on different skin types.

  • DG, unlike Hydrafacial, can treat sensitive areas like the eyes and lips.

  • DG is considered corrective care with Medical-grade serums, while Hydrafacial is considered a superficial aesthetic procedure

What are the common symptoms experienced after a Diamond Glow treatment?

  • Mild Redness: This is due to increased blood flow as the skin responds to the treatment. The redness typically subsides within a few hours depending on individual skin sensitivity.

  • Tingling Sensation: A mild tingling sensation on the skin may be experienced, but this is a temporary reaction caused by the exfoliation and infusion process.

  • Dryness and Flaking: As part of the renewal process, temporary dryness/ flakiness may occur. This occurs as dead skin cells are exfoliated and new, rejuvenated skin surfaces. Moisturization can help alleviate this symptom.

Does the procedure hurt?

The procedure is pain free and actually relaxing! Adjustments can be made for sensitive to coarse skin based on patient and provider assessment.

How do I maximize my results?

Treat regularly 1-2 times per month until desired results are achieved. At that point you can go into maintenance treatments every few months. For best results medical-grade skincare in between treatments is highly recommended in combination with daily SPF.
